A teenager from Hillside has pleaded not guilty to charges of plotting to murder an FBI agent.

Adel Daoud, 19, was in federal court Friday morning.

Daoud already faces terrorism charges in an alleged downtown bombing plot.

Authorities say he tried to buy a bomb from an undercover agent posing as a terrorist and planned to detonate it outside a bar in the South Loop.

A new indictment says Daoud tried to hire someone to kill the agent to prevent the agent from testifying at his upcoming terror trial.

Daoud’s attorney said the latest charged is based on the testimony of a street gang leader he called a “jailhouse snitch.”
