CHICAGO – A 15-year-old girl that was reported missing from the West Side was found safe a day after her disappearance.
The teen was reported missing June 5. Police initially said she left her home in North Lawndale that day and never returned.
But on Wednesday, a Chicago Police Department spokeswoman said the teen “returned back home” June 6, a day after she was reporting missing. The teen was safe.
It is not clear why there was a delay in reporting her reappearance.
