A teenager accused of murdering his five-month-old son could spend the rest of his life in prison.

17-year-old Victor Salinas-Corona of Zion pleaded not guilty to the charges in court Tuesday.

Prosecutors say he slammed his son’s head into a metal crib, after becoming angry when the toddler wouldn’t stop crying.

It happened February 26th and the baby died the next day.

The abuse had been going on for some time before the baby’s death, according to investigators.
