A teen in East Chicago Indiana has been charged with animal cruelty after confessing to “hunting” neighborhood kittens, killing them and posting photos of them on Facebook.

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Dept, the 17-year-old said he was “bored” and used a compound bow and arrow to hunt kittens living in an alley behind his home during the week of August 4th.

The teen killed a total of three kittens, spearing one through the head and disemboweling one, according to the sheriff’s department.

He posted pictures of himself “playing with the speared and disemboweled kittens on Facebook.”  The photos were removed by Facebook.
