WGN-TV has learned the Chicago Teachers Union is planning a three-day march later this month in city neighborhoods affected by school closings.
A spokesperson said the march will be May 18-20, and the route will take them through 30 miles of areas impacted by school closings. During the march, the participants will be staying nights at participating churches.
Residents from the south and west sides are being asked to participate with the march culminating at City Hall on Monday May 20.
