A former Portage, Indiana school teacher wants to change his plea to guilty, admitting he texted images of his genitals to students.
If the judge accepts a guilty plea and proposed plea agreement in the sexting case, Bryan Tyman may not have to serve jail time.

Parents at the Porter County Circuit Court in Valparaiso, Indiana were unhappy and disheartened at the possibility.
Tynan was at one time a popular social studies teacher at Fegeley Middle School in Portage, Indiana. His lawyer says his client, who doesn’t have a prior criminal history, has already paid a considerable price losing his livelihood and relinquishing his teacher’s license if the plea deal is accepted.   Tyana would do 1 year of home confinement and six years of probation and be forced to register as a sex offender for the next 10 years.
The judge will analyze the pre-sentence report and she’ll give both sides time to argue their case in court in November.
