CHICAGO — A new Target coming to Wicker Park this summer is looking to hire 75 people.
Target is hosting a job fair from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 3-5 and May 10-12 at an existing store at 1200 N. Larrabee St. Interested candidates should apply in advance at Target.com/careers, the company said. Walk-ins are also welcome.
The new Wicker Park store is slated to open July 22 at 1644 W. Division St. near the Division CTA Blue Line stop. It will be a “small-format store,” Target said, focusing on a selection of grocery, beauty, baby and home essentials geared to commuters and local residents.
The store hopes to hire roughly 75 new employees.
Target recently raised its minimum wage to $12 an hour with plans to increase wages to $15 an hour by 2020.
