Police are still searching for the man who shot a Texas meteorologist Wednesday.

Patrick Crawford, 35, was shot in the parking lot of a TV station in Waco, Texas.

A spokesperson for the Department of Safety in Texas said that the suspect exchanged words with the KCEN employee before he pulled a semi-automatic handgun and fired several times.

Crawford suffered multiple gunshot wounds but managed to drive away and flag down a construction worker, who called for help.

He underwent surgery at a local hospital for his injuries.  Crawford's wife said he is in stable condition.

Crawford previously worked in Rockford and is a Northern Illinois University alum.

The suspect is a white male, 30-35 years old,  and was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and dark jeans during the time of the shooting.
