15-year-old charged as adult in sexual assault, robbery on CTA Blue Line

CHICAGO – Chicago police say a 15-year-old has been arrested  for raping and robbing a woman on a CTA Blue Line train.

The teen has been charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault and one count of robbery.

Authorities had been distributing surveillance photos of the suspect who attacked a woman on Monday between the Oak Park and Cicero stops.

The woman told police they were alone in the car when he came from behind and knocked her down and sexually assaulted her.

The Guardian Angels had helped with the search.

The teen is being charged as an adult, and is due in bond court later today.
