CHICAGO --  Newly released surveillance video reveals the final moments of a deadly shooting in West Englewood Wednesday evening.

19-year-old Kajuan Raye led police on a foot chase when they tried to talk to him at a bus stop.

Police say he matched the description of a suspect in a battery report.

Officers say Raye turned and pointed a gun at them twice. The second time, they shot and killed him.

But no gun has been found at the scene.

Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson is asking for patience, as investigators trace the events of Wednesday evening.

But Raye's family issued this statement:
"The family and friends of Kajuan Raye are heartbroken that their son is dead at the hands of a police officer who does not value the sanctity of life of black males. As a city we continue to struggle with police who are afraid of, and have deep-seated prejudices against black youth."
