ARLINGTON, Texas — Startling surveillance video shows a woman being ordered into her trunk by an armed man, who then drives off with her.
The robbery and resulting kidnapping occurred Jan. 14 while the woman was using an ATM at a Wells Fargo Bank. The man approached the vehicle and ordered the woman to withdraw money from her account before forcing her into the trunk.
He then drove to additional banks, ordering the woman to withdraw money from her account at each stop.
The woman did escape the vehicle’s trunk, fleeing to safety and alerting the police. The suspect fled in the car, which was found shortly after.
Police continue to search for the suspect.
