Eighty one guns were turned in today at St. Sabina Church. Father Pfleger says he is expecting three more guns to be turned in by Monday.

The church hosted a Gun-Buy-Back program today from 10a.m. to 2p.m. “Those who brought in a gun received a $100. gift card or a pair of Adidas gym shoes,” Pfleger said.

The people who choose the gym shoes will have to come back in a week to pick them up. But if you decided on the gift card, they were distributed today.

Father Pfleger added, “If you are between 16-years-old and 30-years-old and have a gun you would like to turn-in, there are still gift cards left and the church will still be accepting guns over the next few days.”

St. Sabina Church is located at 1210 W 78th Place in Chicago.
