CHICAGO — Chicago police are looking for a man who fired several shots at a police car overnight on the city’s North Side.

Around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers driving an unmarked police car saw a man on a bicycle yelling gang slogans.

The officers tried to stop him, but he got away. A short time later, they saw the man in an alley in the 2700 block of West Peterson. When they followed him, that’s when he pulled out a gun, fired several shots, and hit the police car.

No one was injured. The man with the gun fled the scene.

Helicopters and dogs were brought in to look for the suspect.

No one was arrested.
