Hold on to your wallets: It’s the holiday shopping season.
Chicago police are warning people to be aware of pickpockets when they shop.
Police say the thieves usually work in teams so they can quickly hand off a wallet or purse to their accomplice after snatching it from a victim.
They says it’s best not to confront anyone since the accomplice is usually long gone by the time you realize your wallet is missing.
If you do catch someone in the act, police say it’s best to yell to get peoples’ attention.
