HONOLULU — A shark attack victim is telling his amazing story of survival.
Tony Lee relives the story from his hospital bed: “Just out of nowhere. I just felt big, you know, yank on my legs. And I was surprised, and then I looked back and saw it was a shark, and I couldn’t believe it.”
Lee said the shark had both of his legs in its mouth and was pulling him underwater repeatedly.
Desperate to break free, he threw punches at the shark in hopes that it would let go – but it wouldn’t.
Lee said the shark pulled him under once more, so he put his finger in its eye and pulled out its eyeball.
That’s when the shark finally let go and Lee was able to escape.
Two good Samaritans heard Lee’s screams for help and rescued him.
Lee lost a lot of blood and his foot in the attack. He will undergo surgery today to save the other.
He’s vowing not to let it limit his life.
