The three men who plotted a series of bombings at Chicago’s NATO summit were sentenced Friday afternoon.

A judge sentenced Jared Chase to 8 years, Brent Betterly to 6 years and Brian Church 5 years.

The men were arrested after they assembled four molotov cocktails in the days leading up to the 2012 summit.

The bombs may have been meant for police stations, Mayor Emanuel’s house, and President Obama’s campaign headquarters.

They were the first men tried under Illinois’ terrorism statute.
