LAKE VILLA, Ill. — A driver and three children were in a school bus when it rolled over in Lake Villa, Ill., Wednesday evening.

WGN is being told a mechanical issue in the rear axle appeared to cause the rollover. No other vehicles were involved.

The incident occurred on Grand Avenue in front of the Lake Villa Library.

The three children were all the driver’s own kids. The driver had apparently finished the bus route and was headed home.

There were no reported injuries, but the four were taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary reasons.

The oldest of the three children is kindergarten-age, WGN is told.
