A veteran firefighter from Schiller Park has been arrested on child pornography charges.
According to prosecutors, Edward Mendelson downloaded a large collection of photos and videos to his laptop computer.
He was arrested Thursday and appeared in court Friday. Bond was set at $150,000.
He is set to appear in court later this month.
