Report: Summer gas prices to be lower than last year

You summer road trips might not be as expensive as you might think.

The Energy Information Administration reports summer gas prices might be slightly lower than last year.

The agency’s forecast predicts the average price for a gallon of gasoline will be about $3.63 a gallon.  That’s down from last summer’s average of $3.69.

Government officials say the projected drop is due to increased North American oil production and fuel efficient cars holding down consumption.
