BUFFALO, NY – Patrick Kane said he’d be vindicated.  Now DNA results from a rape kit may help his case.

The Buffalo News reports that Kane’s DNA was not found in the alleged victim’s genitals or underwear.  Four sources tell the paper that Kane’s DNA was not found below the alleged victim’s waist.    Kane’s DNA was found under the woman’s fingernails and on her shoulders.  Legal experts say this does not mean that a rape did not occur.   It simply shows no presence of semen or that the alleged attacker wore a condom.

The investigation continues into what happened at his home in suburban Buffalo on August 2.
