Consumer Reports says it found potentially disease-causing bacteria on most of the raw ground turkey samples it tested.

Consumer Reports investigators tested more than 250 samples of ground turkey bought at stores nationwide.

They looked for five types of bacteria, including salmonella and E-coli.

Ninety-percent of the samples had one or more of the bacteria.

The antibiotic-resistant bacteria, MRSA, was found in three samples. Salmonella was found in a dozen.

Most of the bacteria found in the samples are killed through cooking.. but some can produce toxins that may not be destroyed by heat.
