He will be in Turkey for three days, and is expected to speak out about the persecution of Christians in the middle east- especially in Syria and Iraq.
The pope will to meet with the head of the Orthodox Christian Church.
This is the Pope Francis’ first visit to Turkey, which is mostly Muslim.
