Illinois gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner was at a campaign event in Vernon Hillls Tuesday when he committed what some Chicagoans consider a major faux pas: He ordered ketchup on a hot dog.
A video posted by the Daily Herald shows Rauner at a Portillo’s ordering three hot dogs: one with everything, one plain and one with just ketchup and mustard.
After social media erupted over Rauner’s order, staffer Lyndsey Walters took credit for the hot dog in question with this tweet:
Hey, that hot dog with ketchup was for me. What happened to a woman's right to choose?
