CHICAGO — Chicago police are asking for the the public’s help in the search for a young girl who went missing from the city’s South Side.
Police said in a statement Sunday that Raziyah Hammond, 12, was last seen May 3 in the 7000 block of South Claremont Avenue in Chicago’s West Englewood neighborhood. Hammond is described as African-American, 5 feet 2 inches tall, 90 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
Hammond was last seen wearing a hot pink top, black jeans, and pink and white gym shoes, according to police.
Police say the girl often wears her hair in braids or cornrows and goes by the nickname “Ro-Ro.” She is known to frequent the areas near 63rd Street and Martin Luther King Drive.
Anyone with information on the girl’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Area Central Detectives at 312-747-8380.
