Man wounded in River North shooting

CHICAGO — A shooting this afternoon in the River North area seriously injures a man coming out of a restaurant.

The 24-year-old victim was shot in front of Hooters restaurant in the 600 block of North Wells St.

Police said he suffered an injury to his groin.

Investigators say there was a dispute with a man, and another man took out a gun and fired four or five times.

The suspects fled the scene in a minivan.
