Chicago Police released a sketch Monday of the man believed to have murdered a Gold Coast business owner.

SketchOn March 1, 66-year-old Herbert Goode was shot outside of his South Side factory complex where he had worked for 30 years.  He was the owner of Silver Cloud Galleries, a custom framing company with a storefront at 20 W. Ohio St.

Police say a man went up to Goode as he was standing near the driver side door of his vehicle. They struggled, and then the man fatally shot Goode. The man fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The Chicago Tribune reports that prior to the shooting, Goode had just collected $3,400 in rent in cash. Chicago police say robbery was a possible motive.

The killer is described a black male with a medium complexion, 6 feet tall with an average build and about 20 to 30 years old. He has a tattoo on the right side of his neck that possibly depicts the word “PAM” with a ribbon underneath.

Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Area Central detectives, 312-747-8380.

The Chicago Tribune contributed to this report.
