2 bodies discovered in burning cars on South Side

Chicago police are investigating the death of a man found inside a burning car on the South Side Friday.

Police discovered another body in a similar condition, that same day.

The body of an unidentified male was found in a burning car in the 8400 block of South Gilbert on Friday morning.

Three hours later, the body of Sherita Smith was found under her burning car near 86th and Honore.

Investigators are not saying if the two cases are related.

Smith worked for the Chicago Park District.

In her case, a $1500 dollar reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest.
