CHICAGO — Chicago police are investigating reports of shots fired in Grant Park.

It happened shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday at Columbus and Monroe, near Buckingham Fountain.

When police arrived, they found two vehicles with possible bullet holes.

One witness, who wished not to be identified, said he had to dodge bullets.

“I’m like, I’m not gonna get shot downtown because today is not my day to die,” he said. “The next thing I knew, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, they shoot, it’s over with.”

There are reports that one person was injured in that shooting.
