ELMHURST, Ill. — Elmhurst police are investigating a robbery at a gas station and looking for a missing clerk.

Police responded to a call around 5 a.m. this morning at the gas station at North Ave and Route 83.

Police have identified the missing store clerk as Simone Boyd.  She is 21-years-old, about 5 feet tall, 170 pounds with long hair possibly in a ponytail.  She was last seen wearing a green short sleeve polo shirt and black pants.  Surveillance video shows the robber jumping over the counter to grab money and then leaving with Boyd, who appeared terrified.

Sources familiar with the investigation say Elmhurst police have a solid lead on who they are looking for but publicly, investigators saying very little.

Elmhurst police not ready to release the surveillance video publicly.
