Police are searching for the gunman in a fatal shooting of a teen in Zion over the weekend

Investigators has interviewing all of the potential witnesses at a Halloween party police say was attended by close to 200 people.

15-year-old Adarius Green was at the party at the house in the 2400 block of Gilboa Ave.

Officers responded to the call of shots fired just before 1 a.m. Sunday.  When they arrived on scene people were pouring out of the home, running in the street and the sidewalk and alley.

Green was shot twice and died.  A 26-year-old woman was also injured.

The police chief says investigators are still trying to piece together what led to the shooting.

Adarius Green’s mother says the streets are talking and one name keeps coming up.

She’s confident police will be able to close this case soon.

Grief counselors were at Zion Benton Township high school today where Adarius was a sophomore. He had just returned to the Zion area over the summer after spending some time living with his dad in Texas.
