ELMHURST, Ill. — Three people have been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run crash and home burglary early Monday morning.
Elmhurst police were called about 5 a.m. to investigate a burglary in a garage on Fay Street near Route 83.
When officers tried to stop a vehicle leaving the area, the suspect hit a squad car and took off.
The vehicle then hit a second car, sending it onto the lawn of a home.
The suspects’ vehicle ended up in another yard down the street.
They took off on foot, but were later arrested.
There may also be a fourth suspect.
Police say both vehicles were stolen.
