A person was hit and killed by a Red Line train at the line’s 63rd Street Station, according to officials.
A train came in contact with a person at the station at 220 W. 63rd St. about noon, said Catherine Hosinski, a CTA spokeswoman.
The Chicago Fire Department was called to the station at 12:04 p.m. following a report of a person on the tracks or found on the tracks, said Chicago Fire Department spokesman Juan Hernandez. The Fire Department removed a person who was hit and killed by a train, according to the Fire Department’s news office.
Red Line service resumed about 1:30 p.m. Check the CTA’s website for more information.
