A person of interest is being questioned in the fatal shooting of an 11-year-old girl was struck and killed by a stray bullet Friday night.

Chicago police confirm they have a person of interest in custody.

11-year-old Shamiya Adams was attending a friend’s sleepover near Gladys and Springfield in the East Garfield Park neighborhood when a stray bullet came through a side window and struck her in the head and killed her.

There are no charges or arrests in the case.

An $8000 dollar reward is posted in the case.

Her family seeks donations for the funeral at and will hold a fundraiser tomorrow at Fatso's Bar on Chicago Ave.
