LISLE, Ill. –A pedestrian was struck by a Metra train in Lisle.
The incident happened just before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday near the Lisle station when the train traveling on the BNSF railway struck a pedestrian
The person’s age, gender, and condition is unknown at this time.
Both inbound and outbound trains on the BNSF line have been halted, and officials could not say when normal service would resume.
Metra has halted IB/OB BNSF trains near Lisle due to a pedestrian incident involving an equipment train. No word on the duration of delay.
