CHICAGO — Police are searching for the person who fired gunshots at parked cars on the city’s North Side.

The cars were parked on Sunnyside Ave. near Rockwell Street in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.

Neighbors say they heard what sounded like gunshots early Wednesday morning, but they didn’t call police at the time.

Daylight revealed that one car was hit in the windshield, another on the side and the hood. Two shell casings were recovered nearby.

No one was injured.
