A Park Forest police officer accused in the killing of a 95-year-old man at a senior facility will face a judge Wednesday.

43 year-old Craig Taylor is charged in the death of John Wrana who was fatally shot with beanbag rounds at the Victory Centre in July of last year.

Wrana apparently refused medical treatment for an infection, and reportedly became belligerent.

Police fired a Taser that missed, and then shot him with bean-bag rounds.

He died hours later of internal bleeding.

Wrana was a World War II veteran, and just weeks away from his 96th birthday.

Taylor has been with the Park Forest Police Department since January, 2004.
