LAS VEGAS -- Police are searching for the parents of a 3-year-old girl who was recently found dead in the family's Las Vegas home.

According to KTLA, the 3-year-old was found dead Thursday. Police want to question Jondrew Lachaux, 39, and Kellie Phillips, 38, about the girl's death.

The couple's 17-year-old daughter was arrested for alleged child abuse in connection to the girl’s death -- as well as her own daughter’s hospitalization, according to KTLA.

The 17-year-old was arrested last week after her 4-month-old daughter was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The arrest led to police serving a search warrant for the home, where they then found the 3-year-old's body, KTLA reports.

According to KTLA, police said the 3-year-old appeared to have been dead for "at least a few weeks."

While the 17-year-old remains at a detention center for her own child's hospitalization, police continue to search for the parents, who they believe fled to California after leaving their 17- and 3-year-old daughters at home.

According to KTLA the two are thought to have ties to the state.

Police added they believed the couple to be with five of their other children, ages 1-9.

Anyone with information was encouraged to call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111.
