Hundreds marched through Chicago’s Auburn-Gresham neighborhood for the “Occupy The Streets” rally and march, organized by Father Michael Pfleger and Saint Sabina Church, Friday night.
The event marked the end of the school year, calling for peace as summer begins.
The rally started on the steps of the church at 78th and Throop with singing and poetry. Parents who have lost children to gun violence also read the names of young people who have been killed in Chicago during the past school year.
