Adolfo Gomez faces felony child abuse charges

Two suburban parents accused of tying up their own children entered a plea of “no contest” in court Friday.

Adolfo and Deborah Gomez, of Northlake, face felony charges of child abuse.

The couple was arrested this past summer in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Kansas.

Police found two of their children — ages five and seven — tied up and blindfolded near the family’s SUV.

A motive remains unclear.

At previous hearings, Adolfo testified that he was fearful of “demon possession.”
