OAKLAND PARK, Fla. — A neighbor who broke down while speaking to the media about her friend’s murder is now charged with the crime.

The body of Charlotte Nicholas was found in her home in Florida last Tuesday. Investigators say she was stabbed 70 times with a knife and a screwdriver.

Her neighbor Debra Kincy called 911 to report she discovered her friend’s body and also spoke to the media.

“I walked toward the kitchen because she said something about doing some dishes earlier, and her body was laying there on the kitchen floor,” Kincy said emotionally in a TV interview.

Police say before Kincy called 911 she was seen on surveillance video pawning the victim’s jewelry while wearing a shirt stained with blood.
