Chicago has Sister Jean, the spiritual center of Loyola University and on the east coast, another educator is serving and an inspiration to generations of students and teachers.
Sister Mary Stephen is educating children at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel outside New York City where she has served as principal for more than half a century.
At 93, she said she still loves teaching children.
