Millennium Park to host free movies all summer

Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events (DCASE) announced a free summer film series to take place in Millennium Park this summer.

The movies will be screened on a state of the art LED screen, measuring 40 feet by 22.5 feet. The screen allows for easy viewing from either the seats or the lawn at the Jay Pritzker Pavillion.

All film screenings will begin at 6:30 p.m.

June 4: Muddy Waters & The Rolling Stones-Live at the Checkerboard Lounge, 1981

June 11: The Triplets of Belleville

June 18: Chicago

June 25: Funny Face

July 2: Yankee Doodle Dandy

July 9: Amadeus

July 16: Moulin Rouge

July 23: The Jungle Book

July 30: Buena Vista Social Club

August 6: Singin’ in the Rain

August 13: Cabaret

August 20: Dreamgirls
