BROOKFIELD, Ill. -- Inbound and outbound Metra BNSF trains are running again after being halted for a potentially hazardous material near the tracks in Brookfield.

The Brookfield police responded to a report of plastic bags containing a clear liquid on the railroad tracks.

Police called the fire department, who responded with the Haz Mat Unit.

During the day chemists tried testing the liquid to learn what it might be, but have been unable to identify it.
