A mass will be held Sunday for a Loyola University student who was shot and killed during a robbery one block from campus.

Mutahir Rauf was walking with his brother Friday night, when two men approached them in the 1200 block of West Albion Avenue and demanded their money.

Rauf thought the gun was fake and tried to wrestle it away from the gunman, when it went off.

No arrests have been made.

A prayer service for Rauf will be held at the Madonna Della Strada Chapel on campus Sunday morning. It's where students observed a moment of silence for Rauf before an event Saturday night.

Loyola is also inviting people to gather at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Mundelein Center Auditorium to pray for nonviolence.
