A Mary Tyler Moore show regular may have only three months to live.

Valerie Harper won America’s heart on the old Mary Tyler Moore Show and then on her own spin-off sitcom, Rhoda that ran from 1974-1978. Now, she’s revealing that she has terminal brain cancer.

The 73-year-old actress says that she’s got a rare condition that occurs when cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain.

Her doctors say she may only have three months left to live.

In 2009, Harper, a non-smoker, was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Facing her diagnosis, she courageously said, “I don’t think of dying…I think of being here now.”

She visited Chicago many times, most notably in her one woman show as Pearl Buck.  Her husband Tony’s uncle is Chicago Radio Legend, Dick Biondi.
