RACINE COUNTY, Wis. — Troy Hoffmann, the suspect wanted for fatally shooting a man in Wisconsin on Thursday, has been taken into custody.
Police said Hoffman turned himself in at the Village of Hustisford Police Department and was subsequently transported to the Dodge County Jail.
Police believe Hoffman crashed his car into another car that was parked in the driveway of a home near Loomis Road and Highway 36 in Wind Lake. The suspect then fired multiple shots into the home, ultimately forced his way inside and fired additional shots within the residence.
The family of the victim has identified the victim as 40-year-old Chad Bickler, according to FOX6. His dog, Tucker, was also killed during the shooting.
Police said Hoffmann was armed and dangerous and urged the public to stay away from him.
