Police in Iowa say they arrested a man Tuesday after he used a McDonald’s McChicken sandwich to assault his pregnant wife.

According to the Des Moines Register, 21-year-old Marvin Tramaine Hill told police that he threw the McChicken sandwich at his wife “because he doesn’t like them.”

Hill told police his wife woke him up around 1 p.m. Tuesday with the sandwich in her hand, the Register reports. He became upset, and threw the sandwich at her. He then picked up part of the bun, which had apparently fallen short, and threw that at her, too.

Hill’s wife went to the bathroom,  but the man followed her and began recording her using his cellphone. In the video, police said they saw the woman knock the phone out of Hill’s hands. Police believe Hill was recording her as a means to entice her, to knock the phone out of his hands, to make her appear aggressive.

Hill’s wife told police he had smashed the bun into her face. She had mayonnaise on her shirt and face when officers found her.

According to the Register, Hill remains in custody at Polk County Jail in  Des Moines, Iowa.
