NILES, Ill. -- A man shoveling snow at the home of his mother-in-law in suburban Niles discovered her body under the snow.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the son-in-law spotted the body of the 55-year-old woman while shoveling early Monday evening, near Dobson Street and Nordica Avenue.

No visible signs of injury were found on the woman's body.

Police say she was dressed appropriately for the weather.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy Tuesday but the results were inconclusive.
