SAN LEANDRO, Calif. — A man is in custody after he allegedly set fire to children’s Halloween costumes in California.

Cell phone video shows Wal-Mart employees trying to get flames under control. Police say the man used a bottle of lighter fluid from the store’s gardening section to set the costumes on fire.

The store was evacuated and closed for nearly four hours because of the smoke.

The man is under arrest for suspicion of arson, and police say he may be linked to other crimes in the area. The motive behind the fire has not been released.
