Man robs Evanston bank

Evanston police are looking for a man who robbed a Chase bank on the 900 block of Grove Street yesterday.

The man gave the teller a not implying that he had a gun and demanded money. The robber left with about $2,600 in cash.

It was not immediately known if a dye pack or GPS was placed in the proceeds. FBI spokeswoman Joan Hyde the agency is investigating.

Authorities say no one was hurt and a weapon was not displayed.
